CAI sound

I've heard from many people that the Z-tube provides a unique sound at high RPMs. Does a CAI do the same thing or is it only unique to the Z-tube.

Thanks,

Jeff

I'm asking, because I'm not noticing a real sound difference on my AEM. However, I haven't tried to redline the car or anything like that.

Maybe I'm not pushing it enough.

I didn't buy this mod for the sound though. It was for better airflow. I was just curious, because I am not hearing what everyone else is.

if you cant hear any difference... roll down your window! haha!

CAI's filter is sitting outside in your front bumper. Thats where most of the noise vibrations are being emitted through. Short ram intakes are inside the engine bay, which is easier to hear while inside the cabin. Also, CAI's piping is longer, meaning there is more air inside the pipe to vibrate. Theoritically, more air vibration means more sound at a deaper tone.
