Infiniti Supercharger

I just got my 2005 G35 Coupe. The infiniti dealership told me that they will install a stillin supercharger for me for around $4000.00. He also told me that the car will gain 175 hp, and it wont void my warranty!!! Has anybody else heard this from there dealers? Cuz it sounds too good to be true!!!!!

Mine offered the same, we didn't talk price. $4K would be for the parts alone I would bet. You would also be using the Stillen waranty (36/36000) and NOT the Infinity waranty. It would also be a Stage II max and I don't think you would get 175 at the wheels. Check on Stillens website.

Couple of things.

The Stillen SC & install should be more than that. I have a feeling the salesman is not telling you the whole story.

Second, the dealer cannot speak for the manufacturer if this mod will/will not void the warranty. My guess is if anything happens to the motor/powertrain Nissan will say too bad you are on your own. I would and I wouldn't blame them.

Stillen I believe does have a warranty, however I would bet the warranty is only good for their product not for causing any harm to the VQ motor.

I suggest you get a written quote from your dealer spelling out exactly what they are telling you. From this quote you can know for certain what they are saying to you because it sounds like the salesman in pulling a number on you.

I've seen the dealer installing a stillen supercharger at Discover Infiniti, Kearny Mesa. I'd get it in writing about the price and warranty. IMO

The $4000 is for the kit, install would be extra. I would count on adding another $1200 for installation. Dont forget that with the Stillen, you will need to replace the hood for clearance too. 330-350 is what I would expect for Stage 2. Stage 3 will void the warrantee. But anything installed by the dealer would be covered. If they install it, they have to back it. Just make sure you get a full itemized estimate and warrantee contract. I would go for it if you dont mind the fugly hood.

well, at stillen day today, i saw a silver 350z with a stage two, and he only pulled 288hp on the first run, and only 282hp on the 2nd run. they didn't hook up a/f so there was no chart for that. quite frankly, i was disappointed. don't really know what was goin 'on there, but i expected a little more.

That's pretty low rwhp for a supercharger. I'd like to know what kind of dyno they are running, not that it matters too much. Sounds like Stillen is ripping people off with that product, it's at least 20 rwhp lower than what their add says for a stage I. Hopefully I didn't offend any Stillen fanatics.

it's very low! you should expect somehwere around 330-350hp on the stage 2 kit. don't really know what was wrong with it, there wasn't an a/f gauge, and i didn't bother to stick around for the last run. i don't know how many lbs of boost he was runnin' either.

ps-it was a dynojet.

I was surprised too when i saw the dyno. At first, I thought he had stock everything else, but it turned out he has the stillen exhaust as well. Dunno what the deal is with that car.
