it would seem like it would be, but the way this 5AT vs 6MT battle is going, you might want to start a new thread....

stillen probably won't do a SC groupbuy. this has been tried before, or attempted, but never fell through.

Thats what I figured - but saw a couple of threads about Stillen sway bars GB - so thought I'd throw it out there. Maybe I'll start a feeler...

I think its cool that stillen offers the warranty on the engine only (not the tranny) but i think the money vs. horsepower gain is horrible. If i was to get a supercharger it would have to be vortech. Other than that it would have to be turbomania for me.

I have a hard time believing that Stillen would actually come around and pay for an engine replacement in the event of an engine failure with the Stillen kit. I'm sure they'd fight it quite a bit more than the dealer, and the dealer loves to fight it.

But yeah, the lack of horsepower is a dealbreaker for me. I've had both a vortech blower and a turbo on my last car (at different times of course ) and they both have their plusses and minuses. At the end of the day, in California with the CARB, I'd probably go with the vortech kit just for ease of install / removal (I do all my own work) and safety.

Have you ever seen that movie : SUCKERS? if you haven't go rent it , it is all about car salesmen and how they rip people off- funny as hell ontop of that.

The salesmen will tell you anything to sell a car, even after you just buy it to ice the cake. This guy at a volvo dealership one time told me if I bought the
S60R which did 0-60 in 5.6sec that I could get a chip for 400 bucks that would make it 4.9 lol =D

The chip probably would drop it to 4.9. It's a turbocharged motor.

Their warranty is through a third party. And noone who purchased it has had to use it; so I don't know how hard it would be to get the warranty honored. I would guess that they would take care of it.

Is the dealer still offering $4,000 for the supercharger and then you pay for the hood and installation?

All are forgetting the extra 25-38 HP required to spin the supercharger that cannot be measured at the rear wheels.

The engine is making a lot more [stress] than you realize.
