If you have hotchkis swaybars, please read.

After ordering hotchkis swaybars I came across a problem with these swaybars. They don't have collars to prevent them from moving side to side(oem and other aftermarket have collars). This link is a quick and easy fix for this problem. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...t=hotchkis+fix

Many people who have hotchkis and are taking their cars to the track were noticing that their swaybars were pushed to one side or the other. Hopefully this will help those people out. I did the same fix to my sways.

this is pretty old news, as I was one of the first people to add the collars quite some time back... but definitely something that needs to be purchased in addition to the swaybars themselves if you want them to perform how they are meant to...

2-3 mm is enough free play for the collards.

Be wary the front bar will not accept conventional collards correctly due to the non-ideal curvatures. The rear bar, being very staright, works well w. those collards.

Non of the off the shelf aftermarket ones will work properly ... they are meant for staight bars. I have a custom piece welded onto the bar.

If you look at the stock swaybars, they have very little(if any) side to side free play. On the collars for the front, I just left enough room for rotational movement. They did fit, but had to put them on the first part of the swaybar bend. I have no noise or other problems after this fix. I'm sure welding a collar is a better answer, but either solution will work.

forgot to mention, my sway bar linkage was replaced at the dealership while i was getting my car serviced.
this might have had to do with the missing collars...
