Turbonator???? What????
I have seen a lot of adds and things for a turbonator. What is with this, has anyone ever seen it used. If it works it sounds like a great deal. Please give feedback.
Just ignore that ad. It does NOTHING. I'm dead serious. Let me make sure I'm understanding the item that you are referring to. Are you talking about the thing that is under $80 that supposedly will give you a lot of extra power?
If so, don't bother. It's garbage!

By the way, I didn't want to sound like I was coming off as a jerk. This particular product really is a waste of money. Many people have looked into it, but all have come to the same conclusion.
If they were really getting significant gains from that product, we all would have purchased it by now.
The fact that nobody is talking about it on these message boards speaks volumes.

It actually doesn't do "NOTHING" for your money.
It will decrease your HP by ~6HP.
We dynoed it at one of the socal dyno days. ...Total fraud to rip off the unknowing.

The concept is valid, just being applied incorrectly with this product. Honda had a pretty neat setup called CVCC (Controlled Vortex Combustion Chamber) that did a little swirl thing with the intake port/piston crown to improve combustion efficiency. It is a critical concept in power generation plants using coal coke or natural gas injection.
But its idiotic to think that swirling intake air so far before the heads will do anything. The vortex needs to be generated in close proximity to fuel introduction to be effective. Putting little turbonator castings in the heads post-injector may do some good, but it would take a supercomputer to calculate the proper pitch and surface area of the fins to maximize the effect.
