By the way, I didn't want to sound like I was coming off as a jerk. This particular product really is a waste of money. Many people have looked into it, but all have come to the same conclusion.
If they were really getting significant gains from that product, we all would have purchased it by now.
The fact that nobody is talking about it on these message boards speaks volumes.

The concept is valid, just being applied incorrectly with this product. Honda had a pretty neat setup called CVCC (Controlled Vortex Combustion Chamber) that did a little swirl thing with the intake port/piston crown to improve combustion efficiency. It is a critical concept in power generation plants using coal coke or natural gas injection.
But its idiotic to think that swirling intake air so far before the heads will do anything. The vortex needs to be generated in close proximity to fuel introduction to be effective. Putting little turbonator castings in the heads post-injector may do some good, but it would take a supercomputer to calculate the proper pitch and surface area of the fins to maximize the effect.
