a/c question....PLEASE HELP ME :D
okay, I had the dreaded a/c line hole due to the rubbing of an aftermarket intake. so i replaced my a/c line and had it recharged ( my mechanic friend and I did it ourselves). fastforward a couple of weeks later, i'm filling up gas. as soon as finished, i start my car and proceeded to head home...when *poof*....a/c line pops and refrigerant and oil comes splurging under my hood...i could only see smoke from my hood. so i pull to the side to check it out. sure enough it was the a/c line. I think it popped from the evap side (i think that's what is...its the side where the a/c pipe connects to the firewall side). thing is, when my friend and i installed it, we connected the a/c pipe to the firewall side but ran the pipe wrong...so we disconnected it and reran the pipe the right way...then reconnected everything. my question is, does it matter if i disconnected and then reconnected the pipe? meaning, once i disconnected the pipe, does it lose seal and can't be used again?? Or is it okay to reconnect the pipe over and over again? please help. sucks having a G w/out a/c. reminds me of my sr'd 240...no a/c
