I had recently purchased Happy's grounding wires of which i paid only $40. I must make this clear that Happy only sells wires, so it did not come with instructions nor extra bolts.

I installed the kit on Friday, took about 2 hours because of the lack of good directions. If i had to do it again, it would take me 5 minutes to install it. Its that easy now.

I took out the G for a short drive on Friday night and I noticed a tiny bit of smoothness improvement, engine-wise.

What boggles my mind is that yesterday, my brother was driving my car, and he commented on how smooth the car feels, and how quickly and smoothly the shifter feels now. I did not even tell him about the grounding wires yet!

Another improvement that I've noticed is the ability to squeal the tires from the 2-3 shift!!!!!!! Its so easy to do now!

Conclusion: Go get yourself some $40 grounding wires from Happy (i cant seem to find his thread on here).

Improvements: Faster shifting (6MT), ability to chirp the tires from 2-3 upshift, noticibally smoother engine response.

Yesterday i went back and actually drilled a small hole in the rubber piece by the battery compartment so i fed the wire thru there so that it looks very nice and professional [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]
I also put some blue threadlock on most of the bolts.

Hopefully, I was able to answer your questions on the install when you PM'd me. One of Happie's other customers had similar questions. For those that purchase Happie's kit, you can refer to my labelled picture (page 10) on the Hyper-Ground Thread.

If you're around westminster, go to JK electronics located on westminster ave and edwards. They have every single connector you need. For wire I would go with West Marine since the outer jacket of the wire is more resistent to the temperatures under the hood and the elements. You don't need sosche, monster, stinger, etc. The west marine cables will work just as well if not better. Another note is to make sure you get weather resitent heat shrink tubing (when you squeeze the tubing it should be sticky inside), anti crossive spray, and do not touch the copper with your bare hands. The oils from your hands will cause the copper to corode.

My question is, what are the grounding points for this modification?

I couldnt get the specs of the wires without taking off the engine cover....so next time i take it off i'll get the info for you. Probably not tonight because I probably wont be home till midnight heh.
I've noticed that the front grounding point I have there is wrong, its supposed to go in the hole just left of that, ill post another pic of the stock engine

well there are 5 main points that you need to connect the ground wires to.
1) on the passenger side strut
2) middle of the front of the engine manifold thing
3) on the intake manifold
4) on negative battery terminal
5) on the goldish bracket at the rear of the engine

Why should that hole (labeld "wrong hole") be empty? Nothing else goes in there, and it is a secure ground point.

Any reasons why it shouldn't be used?

no reason, just that there is nothing there from factory. I put mine there by mistake instead of on the hole to the left. Better safe than sorry......right?

Just installed Gordan's 7 wire kit. My G has both front ground points
with factory ground wires attached. Gordan's instructions directed
attachment of 4 wires to the right front ground point. Do you think
it makes a difference?

yeah i think you should keep those 4 together so they are interconnected. doesnt matter which of the 2 holes though
