Does bedding the brakes have any effect?

 

yes, the purpose is to deposit a thin layer of brake pad deposit between the pad and the rotor, and have it baked on...you need to get your brakes really hot to get this done
i've found a simple way to bed my brakes, sometimes when im driving home, ill take the car up to 50mph then brake hard down to 10, then go back up to 50 to cool down the brakes, then brake again,

i keep doing this about 6 times, or until i do 1 lap around my block (in my neighborhood...very twisty roads and no traffic)

I just got a new 6MT G35 sport coupe with Brembo brakes. Granted it only has 300 miles on it (in 3 days), has anyone had problems with the Brembo's squeaking? I hear it squeak somewhat when I am coming to a slow stop (as someone mentioned in the chain)... But I think that I hear it about once every 20 times or so... Could this just be a breaking in period?
