new compression rod +

just got my car back from being service.

- (rod compl-compressio-54468-CD084) ITB03-28 new compression rod installed to correct right drifting. I forgot all about the drifting till the service dept called to tell me that the part came in. Once installed the car feels more planted to the ground and rolls very straight.

- (Switch assy stop lam-25320-ax027) ITB03-XX-AXR3011 on the service list i noticed "brake switch", they told me there's been brake light switch failures so therefore they are replacing them.

- (stopper kit-door GLA-80327-CD025) ITB03-021 also no more grease on my driver side window. I complained about grinding noise so they replaced the window stabilizer, something like that. I wish they did the passenger side too. I'll just bring it back later.

- complained about going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, but they say that's the characteristics of the 6spd. Oh well at least the tranny is covered for 7 years.

That's right AntRock, you've got the #'s right. Up here in Canada, the Emissions warranty could be slightly different, tho. Some OBDII parts like the ECM and the catalytic are covered for 8 yrs. Not sure about USA.

Re: new compression rod +

Take a car in with heavy brake dust on the front.. and ack. If they didn't touch the wheels at all, they'd look better.. they sort of make a half-hearted attempt to wipe the bottom half of the wheel.. so half of it is partially shiny with black in the corners, and the other half is still all black. I sometimes wonder if they're out of soap and just hose the cars off.

Re: new compression rod +

i hate when they wash my car. i usually tell them not to clean it when i have to bring it in, but the last time i brought it in for the brakelight switch recall it was pretty dirty and i let them wash it. the rims looked like crap and i could bearly see out of the winshield with all the streaks on it! i wonder if BMW or even Lexus does half a$$ washes like that?

Just like that poor guy in New Jersey who had to deal with the
"gas man" fu%ki&g up his car. I don't like other "people" touching
my G! Just stay away.

God I love this car!

Re: new compression rod +

I never let anyone wash my coupe. go it in march when we still had some snow, went thru a car wash and the guy directed me into the rail trashing the drivers side wheel. therefore once again "never let anyone wash your car"
