Is a spacer worth it?

I've got a POP charger w/ the stocker intake tube on my 05 AT. (Why did I give in to my wife and get the AT?!?!?! ) I'm thinking of getting a z tube w/ my Christmas money and maybe a spacer. The only dyno I can find only shows hp gains and those are very close to redline. I'm never really revving my engine that much. So my question is how much torque do you gain and would I be better off just getting a different mod? Thanks.

Try this........

Try doing a search on the Motodyne spacers and
they show all the info you'll need.

IMO, for the cost and ease of install, you aren't going to find a better bang for the buck. I have a 6mt so things may be different for you. My suggestion is to log onto Motordyne's website and/or call Tony himself. He's a great guy, very knowledgeable and he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that is going to sell you something that you won't see real gains from. Of course making money is part of it but he really seems to be in it for the thrill of the HP/TQ gains, not just the $$ gains. I have the 1/2' spacer and love it.

yup its a good all around mod esp esp the thermal part, my plenum temp is cool to the touch even after WOT dyno runs. So heat soak is pretty much nixed, and I got 226hp/216ft-lbs on an 05 AT w/ Ztube&K&N intake. Its up to you if what you spend is worth it in both butt dyno, real dyno, and sound (I still feel satisfied for the amt I spent, it may not be 20hp, but I definitely feel more tq in the powerband).

Get a copy of the new Winter 2006 Sport Z Magazine. There is an excellent plenum / spacer shootout test with dyno results. Everything you need to make a decision.
