What mod should I do next? I need help.

Hello I have a '03 6speed Coupe, and the only thing I have done is the Z-Tube and the JWT Pop-Charger.. they are working/sounding great. I am wondering what to buy next that would give the most bang for the buck on my pretty much stock car... I was thinking maybe an APS plenum but I dont think that is worth it... headers/cats seem like a pain in the *** to install and I dont really have the time at the moment... the technosquare ecu (http://www.technosquareinc.com/g35.htm) seems like it would do wonders but once I get another mod I wouldnt want to pay 150 bucks to re-tune it... so I think i should wait a while. What do you guys think would be the next step for me? Thanks for all your help!

If you want a simple mod, which will afford you good gains for your dollars . . . I would highly recommend a Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer. In lieu of a new plenum this will keep your car looking stock with the engine cover on.

If you have the time, I would spend sometime at this following link and do a search . . .

http://www.motordyneengineering.com/

The ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer Kit is an excellent bet, as well. Good luck to you with your future mods. Enjoy!

hmm

hmm sounds good but what is the difference between the basic plenum spacer and the iso thermal plenum spacer? I would be getting the 5/16 because I would want to keep the look stock. Thanks for the help.

The ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer adds an Aramid Thermal Gasket, which is installed between the intake manifold and the lower collector. This said gasket replaces the OEM gasket. The Aramid gasket lowers the heat transfer to the entire (lower and upper) plenum assembly by a significant amount . . . Thus lowering the plenum air temperature and that's good. In addition, there is a Coolant Control Vavle, as well. The said valve will lower the temperature at the Throttle Body due to the hot incoming coolant liquid.

oh

Oh Hmmm... do you happen to know if it is difficult to install, and do you personally think it is worth it? Thanks.

Jining,

It's a snap to install. Especially, with the Motordyne Engineering Instructions, which Tony furnishes to all of his customers. These instructions come with pictures, as well. Sooo . . . Yes, it's the ?*?/&? . . . Yeah, whatever IlirG said. If you want better daily driveability at a very reasonable price . . . This is definitely worth it.

Tony's Motordyne site has all the info. The homepage gives you a good idea of the ISO Thermal concept. I know, it's alot of info to digest, at first. Hehehe . . . I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning, as well.

I agree on the MD Spacer + ISO thermal kit...a very good performance boost for the money.

The difference is essentially 1 to 2 hp at the top end. With the 5/16" spacer you can still retain the engine cover. However, with the 1/2" spacer you may not be able use the engine cover.
