i was wondering if anyone knew what size belts i need for the unorthodox crank pulley i just got? i didn't get the set of pulleys, but just the crank.

 

Alternator Power Steering and Water Pump Belt: Uses Gates K060445 (45 1/4" or 1150mm) Air Conditioning Belt: Uses Gates K040353 (35 7/8" or 910mm.

I'll PM you the link to buy online.

 

I doubled checked. Those are the belts you need whether you get the set or just the crank pulley.

I got the whole set but I ma scared to put it on after talking to Daug at Crawford Z Service. He said that if the crank pulley is a single piece (which it is) he WOULD NOT put it on his car. This is because the OEM crank pulley is supposedly a two-piece with a dampener in between the two pieces. This is done so that at ~6000 rpm the pulley does not shake the crankshaft, which could obviusly led to problems down the road. I am gonna go by the infiniti dealer to confirm this. If the OEM one is dampened and the UA one is not, I would NOT put it on.

Let us know what you find out about the pulley design. I had plyyeys on my mustang and the crank pulley was not properly torqued down and it was throwing CEL lights. I fixed it, but heard of some people on a mustang board that never got a CEL but basically ripped their engine apart becuase the thing was wobbling at high RPMs. Some had to have the whole engine replaced.

Anyway, it was a great mod one it worked, more power, faster revving engine, etc., but it must be done right. Let me know what you find out, as I'd liek to get the pulleys too.
