Mrev
Mrev
Im about to purchase an '06 6MT and I have been researching the Motordyne MREV, Im just getting a little confused which on which model to purchase. There is te Copper ISO Thermal MREV and the MREV plus, which model or both are required to get the great gains on the "rev up" engine? Also, does anyone know of any reliable shops in Texas that will do this install?
The Copper ISO MREV is recommended if you live in an area where it reaches below 50 degrees. Without the copper version you will have to create a valve bu cutting into an engine hose and everytime the temp drops down you must open or close the valve in the engine bay for max performance. The MREV plus will give you an extra few HP up top. Your options are: MREV; MREV Plus, Copper MREV, Copper MREV plus
. . . I say simply go with the Copper Iso Thermal MREV with the MREV Plus option and be done with it. That way you will never need to wonder . . . What if?
Seriously, you can't go wrong and you will not regret it.
There are essentially 2 questions, which you need ask yourself . . . 1) Do I want the MREV or upgrade to the MREV Plus option? 2) How would I like to heat the Throttle Body . . . Via a Coolant Control Valve (Iso Thermal MREV) or via a Copper heating plate (Copper Iso Thermal MREV)?
Tony's site will give you a bit more info. Perform a search and read all that there is to read about the MREV. If you still have questions, everyone here will be more than glad to answer them.
