Mrev plus VS Crawford plenum + cats

Hey guys need a bit of your advice here to how to spend my money. Don't you just love spending someone else's money? I have a stock 06 coupe (except for the CAI) and I'm looking at the two configurations. I'm looking for the most gains or the best for future set-ups. I don't think I'll go FI but......... Hopefully by early summer I'll get a catback system. I can get the plenum used and new cats so the price is about the same. Tony if you're reading this, does the new "Rev" dyno have the same or better #'s??? Thanks guys.

Do you have a 6MT? The 2005 and 2006 6MT (rev-up) motors haven't been doing too well with a CAI. Gains have been around zero.

There's tons of other postings asking the same question you do. Use the search function. Both the Crawford plenum and Motordyne spacers do some good. The Motordyne website even has the results of the Sport Z magazine shootout; take a look at those.

Either way, people have been saying they notice a difference.

Hey yes I have a 6MT and yes I did a search. Actually still have the results opened in another window. A lot posted they liked what they got but it's hard to find #'s........... but I'm still looking. Thanks so far guys but keep them coming. The merv I was looking at was the Copper ISO thermal plus.... sounds like the winner so far.

So what's the mrev spacer? Where does it go, how does it improve performance? I see threads about it all over the place, but I'm yet to find out what exactly is it.

I have a 5AT, so my situation is a little different. It does seem like the MREV is the way to go for a 6MT - lots of positive reviews. I'm caught between the Crawford plenum and the 1/2" copper iso myself.

Oh...and for what it's worth, the hard numbers in the Sport Z magazine shootout were pretty close to what Motordyne and Crawford claimed. From that, I'd assume what's claimed for the MREV would be a good estimate.
