To save money US refineries are using the minimal level of EPA required detergents.............while using lower grade gummier base stocks in the process.

Experience [on Lexus, BMW, MB, and Nissan] has shown that every engine will feel improved after a BG44k treatment. Even Toyota rebrands the stuff under their own label in the SE US.
Q, you mention oil changes every 90 days. Is that based on mileage or strictly calender days? The real basis of my question is, how often to add the BG fuel treatment? I recently ordered BG in bulk as I can't find it locally. While I have your attention, is $13/11oz can a reasonable price? Thanks!

Nissan recommends oil changes every 90 days or 3,750 miles whichever comes first TO MAXIMIZE THE LIFE OF THE ENGINE.

Worked for me and many others: as built injectors and no internal work in 16 years [over 12,000 COLD CRANKS same starter] and 305,000 miles.

Remember the old saying - Cleaniness is next to godliness.
