Engine Service Light

So I've had my 6M coupe for about 2 months now. Unfortunately, it has racked up about 7000 miles. Suddenly, after the snow storm that hit the east coast (b'more) this past weekend, my "service engine soon" light came on and remains on. Has anybody else experienced this with their coupes? And one more thing... has anybody had trouble with the one touch automatic windows? Mine seems to get "out of time" very quickly. Ive already taken it in to the dealer to have it fixed once; however, it's acting up again and won't work properly. (e.g., the driver window will roll all the way up, then roll back down like 3 inches...) Has anybody had trouble with theirs? and if so... what should i do about it (beside taking it to the dealer...). THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

Welcome Andy, and congrats on the new coupe...

The check engine light could be anything....-- a more common issue is the gas cap not being on properly.....if it's not that, then best have the dealer scan for a code to see where the problem is.

You'll need to see him again for the window issue to fix the anti pinch feature again.

G/L at the dealer, and enjoy the G,
C.

an SES light should just mean you need to take it in for an oil change, a check engine light could be anything like msedanman said.

a lot of the MIL's that have been on when i was on the east coast i did numerous #4 coils just seemed to be one that went out, also of course the gas cap. also A/F sensors i have done my fair share of also on the G's.

the window motor, is a very commen problem back when they first came out with the G we did 10+ retimes a week. if they retimed it that is why it isn't fixed, they need to replace it. i have only had a few come back after i put a new motor in it.
