Power Duct cover back on after MD spacer install
After installing my 5/16" spacer I noticed slightly reduced throttle response in the lower rpms and from a stop. I decided to put the Power Duct cover back on to see if it would improve things and it seems to have worked. The throttle response is better, but now the induction noise isn't as sexy
The spacer does make the induction noise deeper and louder, but not quite as loud as I'd like. On to the Coupe midpipe I guess. Keep in mind I'm not saying the spacer hurts acceleration because at WOT, the car feels great. I just wanted to restore the throttle response in around the town driving. Since the spacer increases the plenum volume, it's only natural for the lower rpms (sub 3,000rpms) to be impacted slightly.

Dave,
I totally agree. I had taken the PD off a few weeks ago. It seemed that low end throttle response was lagging a bit. I put the PD back on after a week. Everything was just find after that.

I will probably switch back to the stock box soon. I will be curious to see if I notice any enhancement in low end torque after having the pop charger on for over a year. I hope so.
i didn't notice any difference w/ low-end performance w/ the power duct on/off with my spacer install. but what i definately did notice is the change in noise (quiter w/ it on...boooo hssss). Power duct is staying off here ^_^
