E-manage vs UTEC

So i have been sitting on here for the past few hours reading about engine management for our cars...FI and NA applications...now i have some knowledge about playing around with tuning due to my past Honda experiences and also friends that are into the "Go Fast" scene....My G is al new to me so i figured going with a standalone would be best...but no one has one yet..AEM told me about a year or so...so the next best would be a piggyback so i only know of Greddy Emanage ultimate and Turbo XS UTEC....both seem to provide what i need to tune...the Emanage looks really nice cause you can hook up practically every greddy component to it and it has the nice remote and screen setup to play with the boost....So here is my question...which one do you think is better? price doesnt really matter cause this is whats going to stop my car from blowing up lol....Or should i just go with an APEXi AFC and APEXi boost controller to make it easier....Im going to have an AEM wideband so my A/F mixture will be present at al times....Information and Experiences are greatly appreciated...I need as much information as possible...

The UTEC is a great setup for tuning, it offers a great deal of features and the free software upgrade offered is definitely a big plus. I had mined installed and tuned by TurboXS (Maryland) and the gains were good…see my dyno below (with res. test pipes)
Both the UTEC and the Emanage Ultimate are great tools for tuning but your car will only be as reliable as the tune it receives so picking up a great engine management goes in hand with choosing a great tuner…where are you located there are a few certified TurboXS installer/tuner around the nation.

I just picked up teh Greddy EU and I love it. Has a self tune feature which come in handy. It still should be tuned by a pro and for your needs. Im running an ATI procharger with 7.5psi boost and with my final tune we got 382hp 322tq but I had an exhaust leak so going to redyno.

Honestly I dont know much about the UTEC Ive heard good things from a few friends who run it on their TT setups. But the Greddy takes up to 4 maps. Change on the fly it looks beautiful and is well worth it. I recommend the autosport harness too that way its just plug and play you dont have to tough the factory harness.

Did the clamp/connector issue ever get worked out for the UTEC on the G35?

When it was first introduced I heard it didn't fit (only fit the 350Z)...

Her is another Dyno of a N/A Utec tune we just finished on a G35 4 door..The current mods were Crawford headers,Crawford cats,Crawford plenum, and Stillen Air box and exhaust..The first run the A/F we logged was really lean and the car did not make much power, about 240whp and 225 Tq. Also notice where at about 5000rpms the stock ECM pulled timing cause of knock, due to lean conditions caused by the breathing mods..

Well after we smoothed out the A/F to a nice 13.5 dipping to 12.5 and played with some timing advance, we got the following results: about 260whp (on one of the last runs) and 235 TQ..The car felt night and day and the owner was verry happy with the end results.Just some more proof that N/A mods usually dont make much power without tuning.
