This will allow you to adjust your Air/Fuel ratio on you car between rich or lean. The correct lean condition you place your engine the more HP you get. If you lean it too much, there goes your engine.... If you burn too rich, you lose HP and more likely burn your valves in the long run.
The AFC is more beneficial to Turbo cars since A/F is a very huge factor to them. But it still works on N/A engines, just not as big HP like the turbo engines can.
