Just purchased the Autoenginuity OBDII w/ Nissan enhanced.

Not only does it it support OBDII and CAN, it also covers all the OBDII connector protocals for all domestic, asian and european cars. So while I'm getting the Nissan specific add-on, I can do basic diagnostics for all my family/friends OBDII cars also.

This also features Speed Tracer that will do the following:
0-60ft time
0-60 MPH
1/8 mile time
1/8 mile speed
1/4 mile time
1/4 mile speed
G Forces
SAE Horsepower and Torque vs RPM graphing
Speed vs Time graphing (Acceleration and Deceleration)
Compute Gear Ratio and Cd
Compute Volumetric Efficiency

Nissan enhanced features included depending your year:

If it does what it says it does, this should "out feature" the UpRev Cipher by a decent margin

I'll let everyone know when it comes in.

I e-mailed them about a year back - they had CAN but had not figured out the proprietary communication that Nissan was using.

Much of the command list and the transmission sensors are not in CIPHER.

Cost is comparable. Good find. Please post up a review if you can...

Wow man. That looks cool as ****. I'm personally interested in Fuel pressure values. I don't think the cipher includes those sensors.

I picked up the autoenginuity w/can about a year ago, it works great only thing is that it is so slow, takes forever to run. I've used it on my G and 4runner to pull CELs. I have the palm version running on an older palm though so that could be the problem. Did you get the PC version or the handheld?

PC w/ usb. But this new version has Nissan enhanced. ie.. Consult features. I think the slow rate is due to the ECU

Here is the info on the Group buy price.

The scan tool and OBDII software retail for $249.95
The OE enhanced codes for scantool retail for $99.995

I do not get anything from this. In fact I am paying to snd my scantool back for an upgrade so I can use the Nissan/Infiniti OE codes and I am paying retail.

This tool has been my best buddy for well over two yearss now and the developer/owner of the company provides to of the line support.

Here are the links that you might want to use to review the product.

I have asked if he could stop in for a Q&A sometime so if you all are interested let me know.

I just emailed Jay to see if he could stoip in a chat about the product for a little while. I was exchanging emails with him last night and this is what he had to say about the cipher.

There is a group buy in the Nissan forums right now with our stuff so we are getting a ton of sales for this kit.

How accurate—depends on the car more then us. The physics are exact. If you can send me 4 samples per second then they will be about 5% off. The acceleration testing is not sample timing dependant and will be dead-nuts on.

Actually with our Nissan enhanced you can actually see the G sensors built-into your vehicles.

We do have BCM support for the non-CAN BCMs. Module configurations are limited to the engine controllers still because Nissan did a bad job docuemnting these. We are getting the CAN-BCM and configuration functions clarified. Those that reverse-engineered them will hit a sticking point becuase Nissan did change how they operate last year. I don't want to mess anything up--we'd rather have EXACTLY what needs to be done.
