1. the mrev allows better air flow in the motor
2. the plenum directs air into the motor. Plenum aka intake manifold

with mrev... it is designed to allow better air flow into the motor.. more air + more fuel = more power

as far as lower collector (MREV-2) - it is still being determined... still new and not that many dyno tests (or even butt dyno reports)... I can tell you first hand however the 1/2" spacer and IsoTherm kit is a performance benefit. I've had great results as well as many others. Reviews are in abundance throughout these threads.

to add to that Q: would it be better to wait for all the MREV testing to be completed before buying anything so as to:

1) optimize (figure out) zactly what u need to buy
2) do an install all at once Vs going in multiple times?

Crawford plenum gets great reviews (as does the spacer)... performance-wise it's a toss up... if you want a stealth/OEM look go with the spacer, if you want to show off an after market mod get the Crawford... the spacer is quite a bit cheaper too. Both are fine products, I'm partial to Motordyne, but you cant go wrong with either.

It's a personal choice, but I would. I have 1/2" spacer and Iso-Therm kit and have been very pleased... I am considering the lower collector but waiting for more result testing.

If you are stock it sounds like the new MREV-2 is getting good results with 5/16" or possibly by itself... RevUp G's have posted great things about the original MREV... depends on how you do things... I'm the kind of person that tries to get as much info as possibly before making a decision - there just isnt that much info out there yet about the 2nd gen MREV.

Just my .02
