Don't need the winter kit, I live in Florida. I don't really have a preference between the other two, just want a good deal.

$230 shipped for the standard kit seems a little expensive, TheNismoShop has the iso thermal kit for $225 shipped.

This is something I just don't get. I know parts for our cars are expensive, but you gotta pay to play the game. I mean, I like a deal just as much as the next guy, but where the hell else are you gonna find a real HP bump of any amount for $200? Its not that expensive especially considering with a used one you won't get the aramid gasket and you'll still pay at least $150. I'm just saying, if you are trying to find a way around $50-80, it probably wasn't a good idea to purchase the car.

You're right, let's just close all the WTB threads. It's a terrible idea to pay less for a perfectly good item that someone doesn't want anymore.

And thanks for the car buying advice. I'll find you when I'm ready for my next purchase.

lol. I got mine for $140. And yeah, maybe it's only $50-$80, but still. People talk about how every little bit counts, so I'm sure $50-$80's adds up fast. Also, if you can save that money, why not? I mean, there's no reason to just throw away $50

Sweet, economics, my favorite subject. Let's dissect this:

Say you do in fact find someone to sell you their used plenum spacer. Great. But I have personally never seen someone sell one with the aramid gasket, so we can assume you would be getting the most basic of the kits (spacer and bolts). Let's also assume they took you up on your offer for $150. If you want the aramid gasket which is an important piece to the "how it works" puzzle, that'll be an extra $30. I'm also gonna assume you want it shipped. I ship a lot of stuff, so I know that the minimum you can ship something from the post office is $5.80, not to mention PayPal fees. Let's call them $2. Total: $157.80 without aramid, $187.80 with aramid.

Now, I just saw the basic kit (spacer and bolts) on eBay for $179 shipped If you just don't want the aramid gasket. The free shipping implies a whopping saving of $21.20 for used over new. I also found the kit with the aramid gasket and coolant line valve for $209. Again, a savings of $21.20 respectively.

Considering the fact that time is money and you could be doing something more productive than waiting, hoping and trying to piece together a kit or just simply waiting and searching for a used, lesser performing kit, I would not consider $21.80 to be an important enough amount of money to be concerned with. Again, if you are worried about $20, you should not own a G period. The parts are significantly more expensive than a lot of cars.

I think mr gdirty is my old Econ professor. By chance do you have a habit of hitting on the girls in your class and asking for their numbers?

How could you have saved $70? I'm looking at it on eBay right now for $224.90.

$150+35=$185. That's a savings of $39.90. Plus, was it $150 shipped or did you pay shipping for that too?

I never buy anything off eBay. I'm looking at prices from our vendors here... though in actuality buying used from here and used on eBay is probably the same thing... now that I think about it.. still.. I saved something lol

This is more of my kind of post. But I assumed you would post something like this at 3am lol.

As for the Motordyne kit on eBay... Tony sells those direct from Motordyne USA
