is it beneficial to get the MREV2 and 5/16" iso thermal spacer on a 05 6mt? Or should I just stick to the MREV2?

Yes.

See the dyno plot on the very bottom of the Motordyne webpage dyno section. The plot at the very bottom shows the gains of MREV2 with and without the spacer.

The spacer adds top end HP.

Tony

PS Dave is always in stock and ready to ship!

According to that same graph, it seems like the MREV2 + 5/16" spacer would actually sacrifice HP and TQ almost along the whole band, especially in mid-range, in order to gain that extra power at 5600+ RPM (I don't know how often or how long anyone's going to be staying above 5600 RPM).

So for regular to aggressive driving, it would seem just the MREV2 would do it and that the 5/16" spacer experiences a severely decreased marginal return for the money spent on the spacer versus the MREV2.

Or am I seeing something wrong?

Relative to stock?
There are huge gains with the combination, but yes, if you don't go much beyond 5600 RPM, you don't need the spacer.

If you race, you will want it because you necessarily should keep the RPM's high.

Just a reminder I'm in no way trying to degrade the product or anything, just wondering what would work best for my application.

One last thing, do you know if the spacer and MREV2 combo will yield better gains than just the MREV2 by itself with an intake perhaps?

The spacer will always make more gains than any intake.
