OK folks... I want to go to the airshow on Saturday at the FW Joint Reserve Base. For anyone that hasn't been to this, it's great. Hopefully the weather holds up. As any airshow fan knows, military airbase shows are the best because there's much more military aircraft and the pyrotechnics are amazing. Gates open at 10:00 and I'd like to get there a bit early since traffic builds quick to get into the parking area. So here's the plan. I'm going to have 2 meeting points and hopefully we'll have a good group to roll into the airshow.

I'm in McKinney now, so I figure I might as well see if anyone is around this area and then head to the Founders Plaza at DFW airport (NOTE: it's moved to the NW side of the airport), and then on to the JRB.

7:30am - Meet by the Texas Roadhouse in McKinney. It's at the SE corner of 75 & Eldorado (Specifically, the NE corner of 75 and Market Pl Dr.) -

8:30am - Meet at DFW Airport Founder's Plaza. Google maps is wrong if you search for it. It moved. Texan Trail now dead-ends into the Plaza. Use this

I guess I missed seeing that since it wasn't in the Events section. well...anyone who doesn't need to work on their car is welcome to come. If it rains, I doubt I'll go to the airshow and maybe I'll come out.

 

I haven't been to a good air show in YEARS. I might be down for this...

Well, the weather isn't looking promising. depending on the site, from 60-80% chance of rain most of Saturday. If that doesn't drop to to 40% or lower, I'm not driving all the way out there when the planes probably won't even fly.
