Props to Brian for driving the furthest...and thanks for coming out!

I wanted to thank everyone for coming and hanging out. And the gimppy comments were welcome! I was just happy to be there walking...and driving my own car of course!

Please feel free to post any pics taken in the pic thread, and I hope that these mini meets happen more often.

Joe, Ben and Arnab - Thank you for the work you did on my car...I just wish I was able to help out more and fyi, nothing fell off on the way to Cincy, and I was able to drift a little more under control on some of the backroads last night!

I hope to see all of you again and more at the alum creek meet!

Well gentlemens my 20 minute project from Sunday got a few adjustments...
I ordered two of the Zeetoyz finishers in case I messed one up trying to give it a brush finish, but I didn't so the other (by Ted's ingenuity) ended up being used as a spacer...

However, I noted that my leather boot was quite stretched out and the **** really didn't feel all that lower than OEM, although it was much more rigid and nicer to shift. So I decided to remove the 2nd finisher under the leather and see how low the **** would sit with nothing between the leather collar and the shaft (hehe).

Turns out I could screw the **** in another like 15 turns and it left a nickel high space between the visible finisher and the bottom of the **** with NO spacer of any kind...so I went to the hardware store and picked up a washer that was the same diameter hole as the spacer and just about a nickel high...lo and behold, perfection...there is no space any more and the **** is as low as it can be...I love it now. The **** is fully tightened and the angle between finisher and **** leaves a nice space for my middle finger to rest on when shifting into 2nd or 4th...

Onto the pics...and cause I know people would ask, pics of the finisher, and washer I used for future reference and if anyone switches to a ball-type ****.

OEM: bleh...

ARC w/ 2nd finisher as spacer below boot: *note how high it still sits and how the leather is stretched.

ARC w/ washer below boot: ahhh...much better

ARC w/ washer: different angle

Washer, finisher, and keys as size reference:

The difference between the height of the washer and the finsiher is how much lower the **** sits now. Quite nice and not too low like if the **** were directly in contact with the leather. I love it, cept for the fact that the **** gets a bit hot if the car is in the sun...I roasted my hand nicely today.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Come on Arnab, what is the real name of the washer and how did you ask for it?
