dang.. ok, just got news I might have a injen intake to test.

 

Yo rob i dont know if this has been discussed or not but it would be good to get the air intake temp @ idle

getting the air temperatures at idle would be important because with basically all aftermarket intakes, when the car is sitting still, the intake is hot (not talking about the air box). Usually heat soak at idle can cause the car to loose up to 15whp for about 5 seconds (once moving)

If i recall correctly, it takes 5 seconds for the idle heat soak to go away..

Anyways.. It would be good to compair each intake air temps @ idle to the stock air box idle temp

 

I was planning on taking heat soak out as a variable by monitoring it before the run started, but I think what you are saying is we should see how fast the intakes are subject to heat soak? not a bad idea.
