I feel like I could have seen all these issues were going to happen from the moment I arrived at the location. Stephen was so busy dealing with problems at 7 pm that he didn't even see me as he walked by while I was waiting to turn in. I mean how many FX's were there? I think he should have recognized me. Then when I pulled in they didn't even give me a show slip, not that it would have mattered. Apparently you were supposed to tell them if you were showing. I think they should have asked.

It was cool seeing the Strictly G's guys though because I had never heard of them too much. Lots of great looking G's in there group.

I think if you went to this show just hoping to see some nice cars then you would have enjoyed it. I wasn't really planning on showing or winning so that part didn't bother me. They did make it sound like lots of free stuff was going to be handed out, but all I saw was Monster that was gone when I wanted some. At least the water was only $1. I was with a couple buddies and we left at like 9 because were tired and I wanted to pee haha.

I now have even more reason to not really go out to these big meets they have around Dallas.

I'm sure it was haha. I realize now my car is a terrible show car. Most people will just think I added black stock wheels. They won't notice what kind of wheels or that it's lowered. And the rest of the mods are under the hood or suspension braces haha. Although my buddy said when I pulled in that someone was like whoa a lowered FX.

glad you have some suspension work done, I was already sad that I did so bad against a SUV during auto-x. props on those times though, nice to see someone putting their vehicle to work.

Well said Son. I almost crapped myself when I saw how long your post was - but I agree with every word of it.

I was also promised certain things for the show and they were never delivered. Primarily, I was told explicitly that the DFW G guys would be parked right next to the SGZ guys. We show up and I'm told that the spots are actually reserved for AWD. What? Was it a huge deal? No. Did it rub me the wrong way? Yes.

I wont go off on another rant about what an epic fail this whole thing was, but I will say this - the next big SHOW (emphasis on SHOW, not MEET) will hopefully be much much better. Unfortunately, I don't think that said show will be occurring unti XDC, but that's fine with me. We all take too much pride in our cars and the work that we put into them to show up to half-assed "shows".

I personally want to be in a show that had an equal, if not greater, amount of effort put into it in comparison to the effort that I put into my car. I give 100% to my car - why would I want to show up at an event where only 50% was given by the planners/staff/sponsors? People aren't going to come back a second time and I think that Stephen will find that out very quickly if/when he tries to get something like this together.

I do still think that we should get a regional meetup together so that all of the G guys can kick it and not have to worry about drama or bullshiet.

We're planning a BBQ in October in Houston and inviting CentexVQ from Austin as well as DFW G's that want to participate.
