Chargespeed Carbon Fiber Hood $900 WILL TRADE AS WELL

Hood is DIRTY!!!!

This is an Authentic Chargespeed Carbon Fiber hood. The hood NEEDS A NEW CLEAR COAT. The Carbon Fiber is not really cracked, and it is not bad. The hood has a custom clip built into it to make sure the hood stays down. We know that this hood goes for about 1550 + shipping. Clear coating is not very to expensive.

In the end though Buyer assumes that this hood is "as is" so please dont FLIP out if somehow my the 4 body shops were wrong when they quoted that they would come out, and somehow its does not go back to perfect when you clear coat it.

I would like 700 OBO SHIPPED I WILL TRADE FOR A GOOD AMS STYLE HOOD

CLEAN!!!!

In my 100% honest opinion I think it will. It will make the hood look a million times better, and you probably would not even notice anything unless you looked close. They are not cracks so much in the carbon fiber its just from when someone pushed to hard to close the hood. I really dont even think the carbon fiber is cracked at all. I took it to a shop and they said it just needed a clear coat. Most people just paint the hood anyways except where the designs in the hood are anyways.

u have to be very careful to sand and reclear carbon fiber..be sure not to go to far through the clear and hit the cf... i did it on my carbon fiber nismo license plate surround to practice b4 i recleared a cf hood for a friend... i didnt have a problem but im very ocd and had plenty of time and also do paint/body work... also price of reclearing really depends on what kind of clearcoat u go with.. could be $50 n product or $400

Yes that is true! But I think 900 dollars is a steal of a deal!!!! its 600 to 800 dollars off so with the clear coat its basically like a brand spanking new hood. Therefore depending on where you clear coat from, its still a great deal. This is an expensive hood to begin with. Like I said most people just paint over the hood anyways, therefore it wont even matter about the clear coat where it is.

that is a good price but still a lot..as for reclearing the hood...most CF parts have a gel clear coat on them that need to be sanded down properly in order to fix it...and the tricky part of reclearing it is to make sure that you don't leave any fish eyes...for those who don't know what that is, it's when u see little dimples in random areas that the clear and sinked in a little leaving a dimple in the clear coat....the fitment on these CS hoods are excellent...but just make sure u have a very very good body shop do the work...u will definitely get what u pay for and u don't wanna ruin a hood u just paid $1K for...

Just if you clear coat it have a good shop do it. One that is comfortable with carbon fiber. There are a few here, but I want a different hood.

Yes I did buy his car. Its a great car!!! I am just tweaking a thing or two AND re do the interior completely. I want the AMS style hood instead of the chargespeed hood. Different tastes for different people.
