The version I got should fit like a glove. Im just sick of waiting for RavSpec to start this project. When I want something, I want it right away, not in 2 months. Plus, I got a deal

 

Are we any closer to having this thing made yet?

At this point I'd be willing to pay a little more to have it made sooner. I'm worried that the longer this drags on, the more likely it is to die because of defections.

RAVspec, I think the odds of you selling 20 at some point or another is practically 100%. What would keep you from starting production and selling the other 8 or so unaccounted diffusers after the fact for $300 or even more? You've got a monopoly on those things. I seriously believe that there are MANY people who are scared away from this GB for the same reason I almost didn't join. They don't know when they're gonna get it.

I'm just saying, I know it takes $$ up front to make these things, but you can also charge and get more for a tested product. Make 'em, sell your 12 presales, then let us spread the word. Every post of a picture of any of our cars will probably have a question of "Where'd you get that CF diffuser?" And you're the ONLY one with them in stock.

I agree good things come to those who wait, but I think there will be more people who defect the longer this goes on. I, and from what I gather, you, are dead set on a CF diffuser. If I can't get a CF one, I don't want one. For those who just want a diffuser, the longer this drags on, the more likely they are to drop out. I just hate to see people dropping out I guess, and I have no doubt that RAVspec will eventually sell 20 or more of these things if they are just made and readily available.

 

I'm staying on for the ride. But with a dozen or more deposits... I agree they should make a run of 20-40 and just announce they're ready and that they've shaved the back end and fit Greddy/HKS or whatever is people are crying about. That way, those who deposited get the early run and people on the fence know it's in hand and will ship.

Win-Win situation IMO but hey... I'm not RAVspec, though, with the amount of interest and fence stradlers... I'd say it's a forgone conclusion the CF will sell well if they'd just make it. But... I'm the patient type.

I just called and s/w RAVSpec. The guy on the phone said this GB is a go, has the pre-production pieces, recently completed the test fittings, and it shaping up to be ready to ship in "about 4 weeks" from now.

I tried to get a more concrete "DATE" from him by saying, "...soo in the 2 to 4 week range?" and he quickly countered, "...well, more like closer to 4 weeks barring any natural disasters or unforeseen trajedies..." I also mentioned that they might want to post that information here because we're all getting a bit restless and want the pieces. He says they've been a bit short handed in recent days but will definitely have an updated post here tomorrow.

So there you have it, exactly what I was told, directly from calling up RAVSpec. Now I'm getting anxious to get mine :-)

The production orders went in already. We are expecting it in 4 weeks time.

We hold off announcing it because we want to get more deposit in.

Usually 20 deposits shouldn't be any problem.
