I just might have to try it. Any recommendations on paint?

That's way cool, thanks. Looks like most, if not all, of the Houston guys all going to fall out of the trip and Tommy (tag35) might be deployed in August. So dammit if I have to make the trip alone I'm still coming. ttrank offered to meet us if the timing was right in Ariz. so I might coordinate with him and roll with him to Cali. Whatever, I'll be there.

ooh me too. That way we could get an idea of how it would look without spending the time and effort to paint. Can you get that at an auto parts store??

Thanks for the idea Ash. I didn't find blackout tape, but here's a quick 15 minute mod with self adhesive rubber tape to see what it looked like.

After

I'm liking the after better, but will take some better pictures today. Direct morning sun FTL.

Better pics.
Ash it's self sealing rubber tape. At least I know the supports won't chip. Ultimate plan is to paint them but I'm going to rock this for a bit and see how it holds up. It actually looks really good, even close up. I made sure to start and stop the tape on the backside of the post so the front is completely smooth and trimmed each piece to fit.
