Thanks Marcus. I took the photo of the the 2 grills together to make it easier for people to compare them side by side. People might say I look like your old style, and I'll take that as a compliment.

Appreciate the props. I hadn't thought about that idea, but damn it's a good one, I knew we kept you around for a reason. I just might have to try it. Any recommendations on paint?

For sure Tim, with the two next to each other you can really see the slight differences. We'll get some decent side by side shots in September.

That's way cool, thanks. Looks like most, if not all, of the Houston guys all going to fall out of the trip and Tommy (tag35) might be deployed in August. So dammit if I have to make the trip alone I'm still coming. ttrank offered to meet us if the timing was right in Ariz. so I might coordinate with him and roll with him to Cali. Whatever, I'll be there.

IDK what paint would be the best Tim. I actually used a matte black high-temp engine enamel on my headlight bezels and it was really easy to work with.

Another thought... you could get some blackout tape and just wrap them.

ooh me too. That way we could get an idea of how it would look without spending the time and effort to paint. Can you get that at an auto parts store??

Thanks for the idea Ash. I didn't find blackout tape, but here's a quick 15 minute mod with self adhesive rubber tape to see what it looked like.

I'm liking the after better, but will take some better pictures today. Direct morning sun FTL.

Better pics.

Ash it's self sealing rubber tape. At least I know the supports won't chip. Ultimate plan is to paint them but I'm going to rock this for a bit and see how it holds up. It actually looks really good, even close up. I made sure to start and stop the tape on the backside of the post so the front is completely smooth and trimmed each piece to fit.
