HELP problems with K&N filter

HELP problems with K&N filter
i just purchased my k&n filter today and i was trying to install it, but i couldnt. i couldnt get the 4 bolts on the side to loosen.. did anyone else have this problem?? i was trying so hard that one of the bolts sort of looks disfigured.. soooo HELP ME OUT GUYS.. i REALLY REALLY want to get this installed

hmm.. i was wondering how many miles i should put on my filter before i clean it
