Changing fog light bulbs

Can anyone give me a step-by-step on how exactly to change the fog light bulbs. I've heard that the wheels need to be turned to one side and the fender taken off but I can't visualize exactly what needs to be done and I don't want to start taking apart my G and find out I can't put it back together :-). Thanks for any help!

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

The Infiniti rep called me back last night in response to the misprint in the manual that I had told her about. Well they are gonna fix the manual and she is sending me a 15000mile service voucher to make up for my lost time. I must say that Infiniti Customer Service has yet to disappoint me. Most other car companies would have just said thanks for the info and have a nice day but they went the extra mile. Well as long as they keep making great cars, I'll be there to buy 'em!! :-)

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

Actually yes there are lo/hi beam H4 HID's available. They are slightly more than the regular single beams and will work fine for high beam/fog lights. I carry the Catz units which are made in Japan and are the nicest ones available but there are other manufacturer as well. I know US spec cars are H4/HB3 but not sure on Canadian.

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

The fog light bulb is a misprint in the manual. They are actually H4/9003 bulbs.

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

If you look at the headlight lens, on the bottom it lists the two bulbs: D2R and HB2

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

The wedge bulb almost has a purple tint to it. Is that due to the lighting? How bright is the wedge bulb compared to the stock one?

Re: Changing fog light bulbs

KongzGx....I should have been clearer...with HID's....

a D2R is the HID capsule for a reflector based system. There is a sheild on the capsule that blocks most of the light from hitting the lower portion of the headlight reflector. This area is generally useless.

a D2S, has no shield, and is for projector systems (like BMW & Audi).

the 350Z, is more like a hybrid projector-reflector system that uses a D2R capsule.
