Just wanted to give a vote for Auto Supershield. They are located in Boca Raton. I got my car back today, and I can't find a single flaw in the tint or the Bra! They did a fantastic job!

They also have a deal with Hertz, so I was able to get a rental car for $30 for the day while my car was worked on!

#1) I wouldnt recommend putting the clearbra on if you have dings. You'd be spending $600+ and if u ever do decided to repaint the clear bra has to come off (essentially waisted money)

#2) to repaint a bumber is only about $250-300 vs the $600 for the clearbra. While the clearbra is suppose to last 7+yrs, even it can get dings that would look equally bad.

In the end you will probably end up ripping off the clear bra within 3yrs. So I agree with Wild121 that the better route is to just have it repainted once every year or two.

well i won the 3m kit at the fgc cocoa beach meet and ive been waiting forrreverrr to get my front end painted and finally made the move of doing so! i just ordered a new bumper painted, and sent my grill, air shroud, and battery covers to be matched as well for $600 shipped back to me! So i dont have to worry about repainting mine. I even sent my gas lid for color reference =) Why spend all the money on repainting when it will never look as good as it did (especially if u have a ton of chips like me) and why have it go to waste with out having a clearbra? You guys should see how i am driving around right now: i have no lights or grill and at night i bungee 2 flashlights in the openings! LOL

ps...my lights are at AAC right now

The clear bra was $700. I didn't get a breakdown of parts and labor. Call them, I am sure they will give you a price for labor! Tell them you heard about them from this forum and they will give you a discount. Tell'm I sent yah!

While I understand the logic behind the repainting suggestion, I don't necessarily agree with it. I would imagine you'd run in to problems with color matching eventually. Also repainted pieces devalue a car, as a trade in anyways.

Im sorry but when i traded in a car they never asked me if i have repainted the car. They just give once good look over and see if it is in good condition and it still has good clear coat on the car. Dealerships are going to screw you over no matter what and I would say 99% of people couldnt tell a good paint job from a maccos paint job....Granted there are paint matching issues with DG, BS and IP, but then again if you get a good paint job 99% of the people cant tell the subtle difference in color or they wont be looking for them. So to say it devalues a car i would say is wrong. Not trying to be an a$$ just stating my observations and exp.

Repainting the car can devalue it at tradein. They can feel and look for certain signs to see if it has been repainted, unless it's a damn good job.

^+1 or u can just get a new one and have it painted. the labor to have your whole front bumper primed and ready for paint again will cost just as much as new bumper unpainted....

When I traded my Maxima in, for this g35 both the dealer and Carmax noted that the repainting of my back bumper took off value. Even though I explained I had it repainted as a result of my golf clubs scratched the paint.

I didn't tell them it was repainted they saw it. I never noticed a difference, but they did.

I am happy about the Clear Bra, if for nothing other then peace of mind, I am glad I got it. And yes, I had them put a piece of the Clear bra on my bumber 'shelf' to protect it from golf clubs.

Not trying to be an a$$ just stating my observations and exp.;-)

Okay a misstatement on me, if they find out it could devalue your car......but like i say sales men dont know squat on anything they are just there to sell and they are going to screw you anyways. If you sell to a private party like I stated before 99% of the people out there couldnt tell a good paint job from a maccos paint job i.e. they wouldnt know the difference if it was painted or not so the devalue on a paint job is a null point. When I traded in my moms car in they just walked around it once asked if we did regular maintenance on it and how many miles were on it. I dont even think he knew what color the car was to be honest. This wasnt the only car i have traded in where they did this to. Like i say not trying to be an a$$ just stating what i have noticed.

I will NEVER trade a car again. I got 5K more selling my truck than the dealer offered.

And yes, it had been wrecked and repainted.
