yes that is not normal and happened on the older headlights. they will replace that under warranty for you. i had this done myself a few years ago.

this is what i woudl do
buy the projectors
take those in get them replaced under warranty and then sell the replacements and get your money back for the projectors.

they will not replace those and give you projectors under warranty so you cant pull that. they will only give you the parts that are for your vin. since you have an 04 vin they will only give you 04 parts

make sure to take out your aftermarket fogs though before you go to the dealership. the fogs cause the problem by getting to hot and they plastic cracks

I have all stock bulbs. I guess I will take it in and get the new ones so they are easier to sell. How much should I expect to get for brand new headlights that are the old style?

Also do you think they woud let me pay the difference in price to get the 06/07s?

The Supervisor at my local Infiniti dealer is calling me back about it. Does anyone know how much the different models of headlights cost at the dealer? (so i can see if the price difference is even worth it).

EDIT: He called back and said they cant do that.

Damn, well trade them out anyways and ebay them.

Say they were replaced by warranty so they are new but driven 5 miles to your house to be taken out lol

no warranty work has to be performed by the dealer cause they have to ship your old headlights back

This just happened to me. Both mine were cracked. They replaced them with the exact same ones. I even asked if I could have 06's and they said no because it has to be the same exact part to get warranty reimbursment from the factory. I even offered to pay the difference if there was one. I think I then read on here somewhere that the 03-05's are actually more expensive. Hate to say it also, no one will buy 03-05's unless you sell them really cheap on EGay.
