Yeah the Pilots are awesome. That is what I had. Now I have T1-R which are really good.....until it rains. Dry weather I love them but I have lost traction in the rain many times.

going wider should actually help your performance. you get more traction so quicker acceleration and better handling. you can go too wide but 255 is nowhere close to that.

You can go too wide for your OEM rim, which is 8 inches wide. When choosing your tires, look at the recommended rim width.

I got the yokos the first time I needed new tires, they weren't very good compared to the pilots, handling and wear was worse. The toyos i have now are decent but I'd still prefer the pilot sports over both....

I have yet to replace my tires on my G since it is like 4 days old. But on my Maxima the Pilot Sport AS's were terrific!

When it comes time to replace these tires I will be going with the Pilots again! I bought them based on the good ratings on Tire Rack and they really hold the road in wet conditions. If you have a Sams card, they can order them for you and you will not beable to beat the price. If you don't have a Sams card, it makes sense to get one if only for this purchase. If memory serves, they were like $200 less PER TIRE!.

The stock tires in the Maxima were death traps in the rain! I don't remember the exact model but they were Potenza's (I think RE92). I replaced them with only 3000 miles on them. When it rained I thought I had a 50/50 chance making it alive!
