so monday night im heading to work, pass by like 4 cops in all the construction near me and think nothing of it. red light goes green and i pass the car in front of me because it split from 2 lanes to 3. 2 cops pull me over. guy says i was speeding - ok so 50 in a 45. then he says i didnt use my turn signal - ok it was an empty lane. then he says he pulled me over because he thinks i was racing. im like racing who? the minivan or the galant? he just walks off and writes me up. so them im asking questions about the ticket and his buddy starts asking about my last name (its coolman for those of you who dont know). so i have to put up with his chatty crap while the other cop explains stuff.

anways, the reason i posted it because im going over the options. sean if you or someone else with legal knowledge would help, that would be great. seems i have 3 options 1) pay and get points, 2) fight or 3) driving school. i just want to make sure if i take the driving school that it will get dropped and i just have to pay for the online class. thanks.

edit: well shermie just told me that you pay the class and the ticket but the points get dropped. guess this is the cheapest option so ill probably do that. any recommendations for online classes?

 

dont go to driving school
it sucks and yo dont have enough points on you license to make big damage. Pluse insurance probably wont run your MVR at all.

They havent run mine in 6 years.

just payt he ticket and get it done with.

 

I think I paid about $33 at lowestpricetrafficschool.com It'll say you are paying $19 but it says (at the very end) that florida charges some $10or $12 bullsh* charge.

Isn't the fine double in construction zones?

 

Why not have the ticket clinic or any other ticket fighting firm fight the ticket for you in court?

I've done that the last few times and I've gotten the ticket dropped due to the cops not showing up.

Just a thought.
