I have an 04 6mt G currently with Nismo intake, headers, and exhaust, and soon to have a plenum spacer. I was wondering what exactly would i need to do to get optimum performance out of these parts? what parts would i need? any body in so fla. (miami area) you guys would recommend? Thanks in advance!

If you're talking about a tune, you'll need to add some kind of engine management system to allow any real tuning.

You could opt to send your ECU in to be flashed with new parameters, or install a piggy-back ECU control like a UTEC. Flashing your ECU is a one shot deal where a company like TechnoFlash takes a good guess at your tune from the mods you have and flashes accordingly. If you get new mods, you'd have to do it again. Installing a piggy-back device has the advantage of being adjustable from a computer and can be programmed many times and has several different "map" settings for different circumstances.

Maybe some of the Miami guys can tell you if there's a good tuner in Miami, I don't know. In my opinion, Jeremy Tibbs is one of the best, if not the best, tuner in Florida. I know several of the Miami guys drive up to Orlando to visit his shop. Jeremy's shop, the Performance Factory, has a dyno and can tune your car on it.

yup, i recently had jeremy install a utec in my sedan and its WELL worth it imo. Check the marketplace on here or my350 for a used one...i wouldnt have anyone do the tune but jeremy!

i wouldnt bother tuning an n/a car but its up to you.

 

its worth it to at least bump the timing up if you got some mods like the plenum spacer, plenum, intake/ztube, exhaust, etc.
