touch up paint??
this might be a stupid question but i just recently debadged my car and i guess the silicone glue that was on the badge has ate thru the paint, is there any way to get that out? i tried buffering it but it didnt really help, i was thinking of touch up paint from the dealership. what should i do?? and o pls if u have nothing nice to say, dont say it thanks

I got my touch-up paint at Lokey.

ya i tried clay bar, i even had a friend at a detail shop buff the damn thing out but its still there when u are close up to it. he told me not to use touch up paint also and just repaint the thing also. i think im going to try the meguiar scratch x and ill let yall know how it goes

ok, so i tried the meguiar scratch x and it didnt work, guess the scracth is deeper than i thought. guess the next step is repainting over it. hope that wont cost alot since its just a small area

I don't believe the glue ate the paint.....the damage was probably there when
the letters were applied to the trunklid. Shouldn't cost more than $100 to
have that area painted.......no touch up paint,now it will be perfect!

If you want to use touch up paint. Try this, touch up paint and then wet sand 1000 a little, 2000 a little more & then 3000, buff and done. It sounds like alot but it actually takes alot longer to go and get the materials.
I have severly scratched my mirror pulling through a drive through before and put several layers of touch up paint on and wet sanded flush and buffed and no one can tell. Takes patients
