i need help with tires

Angry i need help with tires

i just bought a set of 18" ruff racing rims now im trying to find tires for it and every tire place i take it to is telling me if i put different tire width on it is going to mess up my VDC they r Frong 18" 8.5 and rear is 18" 9.5 can someone tell me what size tires i need to get to get it right so it works right with the car thanks

i say 245 and 275.....but im no tire god

The fronts, you can do a 225-255 width. The rear, you can do a 265-285 width.

I have the sport package that came with the 19" set-up, however, I now run wider wheels 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 and and running 255/40/19s in the front and 285/35/19 rears with no problems at all...

My VDC still engages fine, like yesterday in the pouring rain when I took off hard around a right hand corner from a slow roll...You will be fine...

And if you want to double check the tire sizes, use this tire calculator to keep your new tires within 3% of the OEM tire outside diameter. http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp
