It does have a lower, slightly louder tone... Sounds different, but good... The headers and cats seem to have really improved the midrange, too.

A good tune is next...

I would definitely say it has more power than before the new headers and cats. Corvettes are probably still out of my league, but I'm having a lot of fun...

That's good to know. I didn't realize anyone actually made anything like that.

I'm hoping the thermal coating solves the problem, but if something does happen, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip!

I agree. I can say that it's a noticeable difference, though. Mid range power seems to be improved quite a bit.

I have always planned to have Jeremy tune my car after I got headers and cats. I know he's swamped with business right now, so I'm not going to bother him. I'll wait until it gets cooler and hopefully he'll have some free time by them.

You need a piggyback or a flash system for a tune. You can't just tune the car.

Like Gilley said, the G35 needs either an additional piece of hardware that connects, or piggy-backs, on top of the factory ECU, or a re-flash of the ECU's parameters to tune it. I think tuning becomes more advantageous as you add mods to your G35.

If you don't know much about this stuff, I'd recommend you call Jeremy Tibbs in Orlando. Jeremy owns the Performance Factory and is a great tuner. He won't steer you wrong. Here's the info from the front of his web page... also a link to his web site.

Thanks, Andrew.

I originally thought about getting a different brand, but it was always in the back of my mind that I'd really rather have the Crawfords. Now that I have them, I'm glad I got them.
