To those who haven't done the headlight recall yet, please read!!
i know this is kinda old thread but there was some misleading information in here - the recall replaces the headlights, NOT the bulbs. you keep your same bulbs. like somebody else said, it has to do with the cutoff which is internal and has nothing to do with the bulb. after my recall my headlights were aimed way too low - but its easy to aim 'em yourself. i also had a slightly larger gap on the driver side but its just a couple of bolts to fix... sucks to hear about the scratches... did they buff 'em out for you?

If I remember correctly, the recall was about the light that goes off to the far left and far right...but mainly the far left... why? because this light goes into the eyes of oncoming traffic @ certain situations.
If you have the old lamps, you'll see that the light on the outskirts goes up high - not the best design for well lit streets in very populous areas but they work very well for roads/highways w/o lighting like the turnpike and anywhere 5 miles outside of Gainesville :-D
old light pattern

Recall light pattern
--_______-- or _______ (I haven't looked hard enough)
Just make sure they are aimed correctly (which I haven't done)
Hope this helps

I don't think so. I think it had to do with the placement of the projector. They were too far back and didn't have a very good beam pattern. Infiniti has also recalled some of their other vehicle heedlights for similar issues.
any headlamp from infiniti vehiclesdo not say infiniti. we rpl the headlamp assy no light bulb. the gap is the guy who installed dont care about hes job done property.and the aim issue take the car back the y will fix for u if is a big issue for u.
