depends on how far your willing to go......the TT is def faster and better, but unless your going to build the motor, or do a certain amount of mods its not going to run to its fully potential, also chances of blowing your motor or having engine problems of any sort are higher........supercharger is pretty easy; quick noticeable power, much cheaper and not as many necessities, much more of a daily driver without worries......also your automatic so i would say go supercharger

Stillen is a waste of money imho. Vortech I feel is the only SC that is worth the money.
+1. just saw you were 5at. go vortech with the 3.12 pulley, tranny cooler, torque converter and valve body upgrade. if you install yourself, get a utec and take it to someone reputable for a dyno tune. you'll put down about 350-400rwhp while being pretty safe.

this has been debated to death...i've driven a greddy TT g35 with a built motor and a Z with a vortech. Unless you want to spend big money...go with the vortech, it's plenty fast.

The TT is sweet though...but read up over on my350z, it depends on the size of your wallet really.

So what if he's a 5AT?? What does that have to do with anything? I have a 5AT running 9lbs on a built block until tranny upgrades and it's doing just fine.

Don't take this personally, but I'm sick of people saying that you shouldn't go turbo or high power because you have an auto. Turbo autos are actually faster than manual autos (look at the supras) for 2 main reasons: tq converter, and no boost loss during shift.

In order to hold the power, you have to upgrade a 6MT clutch and flywheel, which can cost you anywhere from 2,000-3,000 depending on how much you want to spend. FYI, auto tranny upgrades are cheaper (VB and tq converter) or slighly higher (fully built tranny) and will hold the power just as good and shift FASTER. Hell, I chirped 4th last night on my stock VB

OP: don't let anyone tell you not to turbo your auto...they've obviously never driven one

+1 to what ttrank said. I had a Vortech, and now twins. There is no comparison. 400 ft/lb at 3k...sit back and enjoy the ride.

Yeah... I've been considering a swap. But the QX would suffer from the trade.

Instant Torque= TT
More predictable power= Supercharger
Best option for someone not looking to make over 400whp in their daily driver I would say get the TN kit and put a UTEC in there. But what do I know. I've only built two motors and had every headache and little problem you can have. Jeremy knows what kind of freak stuff happened to my last motor. What do you think he went 10.4 with? LOL
To be safe on either kit you should use the UTEC or something equivalent.

I wouldn't go with a supercharger. I would go with the Jim wolf tt kit or greddy tt. If I have to do the install, get the supercharger.

Like I said before, there is no right or wrong choice. TT was obviously the right choice for you... that doesn't mean every else has the same priorities you do.

Potential goes to the TT. But the G Coupe is going to be my daily driver; the Vortech is easier on the stock block because of its progressive power. TT's have a surge of low end torque That's not something I want on a stock block. Not only that, getting aftermarket TT's in SoCal is a huge risk im not willing to take.
