Question question about a problem i have !!

as you guys know i got the kinetix v yesterday and i trie to install it last nite
so i get all the hardware off the stock plenum and start getting ready to put on the new one everything was going great i start hooking up the hoses but there seemed to be to hoses that i didnt know where they went ! so i connect them together to see if that would do it so i finish bolting everything on intake etc... so i turn my car on and next thing u know the car starts to sputter and then shuts off like if there is a vacum leak or something !! the hoses that i am refering to are right behind the plenum near the intake i believe it had some kind of fluid coming out of it maybee coolent i really dont know but anywho there isnt a spot on the kinetix to hook these hoses up to ... can somebody help me figure this out please !!!!!?!??!?!/i would like to get this installed tonite if possible !! thanks for any help

I believe the connectors you are talking about route water through the plenum near the throttle body. They help to keep the throttle body warm during cold winters. If the Kinetix is plugged, it shouldn't cause a problem... lots of people plug them.

Make sure the rubber gasket around the oil filler cap didn't get stuck under the plenum... also make sure the plenum isn't sitting on top of one of the thin metal brackets for the wire looms.

Post back if that doesn't help... Maybe somebody with a Kinetix will have some other ideas...

You will know if you have a vacum leak you will be able to hear it. As soon as you put on a new plenum some cars sputter a little because the computer has to adjust to the new mod. I had a problem with starting the car and the idle was very low. Give it about a week and the computer will adjust.

if it has the coolant coming out of it, its the 2 hoses that connect to the throttle body. either you can put them back into the TB or bypass them with a tee fitting.
