Beltronics RX65 Pro, invisible to radar detector detectors, so it can be used in VA without being caught. As stated before, has saved me countless times, it has easily paid for itself. If you want to be "Invisible" , get an RX65 and a Laser Interceptor Lidar Jammer, the best defense you could possibly have.

You are mistaken about the Bel RX-65, it is easily picked up by the Spectre radar detector detector or RDD.

so what's the deal with laser jammers? do they really work? and what brands/sources should I be looking at? Yesterday was a trip. Got my ticket in the morning, went to the traffic bureau to pay for it on my lunch break, took the 4-hour course online when I got back from lunch. haha damn popo's!

Speaking of laser, I got zapped this morning on US17 in Orange Park--while being paced by an unmarked Tahoe from the back. The cop was way cool: the FHP in Jax/OP/StAug/Nassau all got laser as of 011408. They also all got tint meters. I got clocked at 71 in a 50mph zone, and 13% tint (instead of 28%) and was 5" too low on the front strip. That said, he gave me a ticket for 59 in a 50 and told me he LOVED MY RIDE...

That said, he advised that his cohorts (there were 4 cars and the Tahoe) all would have ended up giving me tickets for the tint and they have a "tint goal" the first quarter of this year in North Florida. So, watch out guys...

I have both the 8500 (non-X50) and V1. I got the "Service Required" message also. I'm sure I could send it in to Escort and have them take a look at it, but I ended up getting a V1 instead. I think its the sun overheating the unit because its seems fine when its cool. That being said, the arrows on the V1 make it that much better IMO because I know where the radar is coming from. Soooo...I have an 8500 for sale for cheap if anyone is interested.
