Review of car after 2 months

Well I've had the car for about 2 months now. It had 14, 400 miles on it and now just turned 15k. The looks of the car is incredible. I always wanted one the first time I saw them in 03.

The bad side.. Man I can put up with the road noise that comes from the front tires but the paint on this car is going to drive me insane. I am a car nut and never let the ride look dirty. When I bought the car it looked perfect but it did need to be polished and waxed. Well after that doing that all the imperfections came out. I can not believe how many tiny pits are in the front cover already. That is going to have to be repainted but between any kind of bird dropping or bug it seems like you can not get to them quick enough before it dmgs the paint ( I get them off the same day). It seems like a new mark shows up every week. Meg Scatch X is my best friend all the sudden. The guys with the clear bra absolutely invested in the best product for this vehicle. Sorry for the rant and I know that has always been an issue but I just wanted to write my thoughts.

03-04s are known for their weak paint. i had a clear bra put on my 05 as soon as i bought it because of all the concerns from previous owners. supposedly the paint was improved but with almost 54k miles on my car, i appreciate the extra protection.

i got it back at st louis through the infiniti dealership for about $600. the new films are great and im sure its a bit cheaper now. install is tricky like tint so i would recommend a pro do it. you will still get some small bubbles but the sun should take them out. you cant really see it unless you look for it. since i spend more time driving than showing my car, im glad i have it. im even thinking of getting my lip covered once i fix and repaint it...

The funny part is my Kuruma Z cleans up nicely and the edge of my hood has stayed pretty decent after its fresh paint, too...

My fear at this point is when the love bugs come back out. I'm the 2nd owner with this car but it only has 15k (06) but maybe a lot of those miles were highway. The roof seems to have some clear coat burn through spots as well. Just fustrated at this point with the paint. Now I know I'm being picky because to the average person the car looks brand new but I'm an auto damage appraiser by trade so I see everything.

I've actually do a little trick due to the color of the car (Athens Blue). With some of the more noticable chips that are filled in white due to the wax and polish I take a black permanant marker and just dab it in the spot. I let it sit for about 30 seconds and than take a little Scatch X to wipe the black away. Now instead of seeing white it is filled in black and not noticable.

I have been using the Zaino wash and use a hose. As for bad bug spots, I still use Pam cooking spray in the shade...
