just wanted to give people a heads up that i got a letter today from SPC - they make camber kits for our cars. it talks about front upper control arms for our cars, parts 72120 and 72125.
ps gilley i have the 72125 kit, help!

Under extreme conditions the nut on the ball joint stud could pull through the spindle causing a separation of the upper control arm from the spindle and a sudden loss of control.
If the kit in question has been installed reusing the OE flanged lock not no further action is required.
they provided 6 washers to add to the castle nut that came with the SPC kit. Under extreme conditions the nut on the ball joint stud could pull through the spindle causing a separation of the upper control arm from the spindle and a sudden loss of control.

I only got 2 washers in my kit.
I don't know if I used the OEM nuts. Get under there and look. Those are something you can change yourself. It will take you longer to remove he wheel than to install the washers if your a-arms don't have the OEM nuts.

i got mine in the mail today, two washers and the instructions. have to check to see which kit i have.
I used the OEM ones.
For the fact that the oem has a built in washer and the ones that comes with the SPC look real flimsy and looked like it would go through.

i was playing around today and took my front tire off. took a picture of my a-arm, came out a little blurry, but you can still see. looks like the nut just flares out at the top, but no washer in there. so do i need to put the washers i got anyway?

yes, put in the washers or resuse the stock nut. I used the stock nut bc i heard about that problem before SPC sent out the washers.

HA HA I got the same letter and mine only came with one washer. I called the number to their tech and he said sorry, then he told me to just go buy another one like it.. or he could mail me one but it would take up to 3 weeks no big deal i reused the stock nut in the first place because the one with the kit wasn't quite big enough to sit flush. Anywho if u read in the letter they say they will re emburse up to $25 of the cost to replace......I did the work myself and asked if they would send me the check for $25 bucks he said no. Then i asked him where they figure a shop would change this for $25 dollars and he said their company did a lot of research on this and most shops wont even charge u that much.....anywho I'm glad I took the arms off already I dont think I want to deal with this company anymore.
If any one wants them shoot me a pm. I will be listing them in the marketplace.
