Painting new rotors: black or silver?

I just got new powerslot rotors, which are finished kinda whitish-silver finish. Not too good looking as is. so i want to paint them before putting them on.

But I have a couple questions:

-What color? My G is black with gunmetal rims with polished lip. It's a toss up between black and silver. Any thoughts? Will black look good as contrast in the slots?

-I have stock calipers, which are not painted. Should I bother to paint them to match? I was not planning to do so, but I could.

-I have never painted rotors before. Is there any problem getting paint on the wearing surface? obviously it will get worn off first time braking, but will that at all affect the brake pads? I wouldn't think so, especially with slotted rotors.

Thanks much.

I'd get them powder coated instead of painting.

Thanks, but I don't think I want to pay to ship them back and forth, plus the cost of powder coating. His works looks real nice though.

I may need to photoshop these, to see the effect of the various colors. I don't generally like red, but maybe blue.

Paint them silver with high temp paint. Use brake cleaner on the rotors first to clean off any oils and then spray light coats on the rotors until they are painted. The paint where the pads contact the rotors will wear off immediately and won't hurt the pads as long as the paint it dry.

Chucky, Ron, and I have all painted our rotors even with the BBK.

Thanks Gilley. Good to know others have done the same. I really hate the look of rusting rotors, so wanted to do something before I put them on.
