well i just had a chat with pods. they werent so fond of the idea of keeping the car in their POD.

check it out.

Please wait for a site operator to respond. The average wait time to reach an operator has been 2 second(s).

You are now chatting with 'Robert'

Robert: I’ll be happy to assist you with a quote. Our pricing is zip/post code based. May I please have the zip/post code where we will deliver your empty container for loading and the zip/post code you will be moving to please?

mike: quick question

mike: what are the dimensions of the container?

Robert: 8' tall 8' wide and either 16' long or 12' long and the 12' is not available for long distance moves.

mike: so if i had to.. could i get a car in it? or is that not allowed?

Robert: PODS does not provide services for moving vehicles as they are not allowed within the container. However, we do recommend companies for this. You may contact Dependable Auto Shippers at 800-574-0428.

mike: what if i kept it at my house?

mike: oh

mike: i see.

Robert: you could keep it your house if you like.

mike: with the car in it?

Robert: no cars inside of the pods at all.

mike: oh. alright.

mike: no big deal.

Robert: sorry

mike: i was thinking becase i dont have a garage, my car sits outside during the hurricanes. id rather a tree fall on your pod rather then my car.

mike: thanks anyways =)

Robert: yeah if a tree falls on the container your car is crushed anyway

mike: hahaha

Robert: and then you would have to pay for a new pod

mike: really?

mike: so if the pod is at my house

mike: and my crap, not my car, is in it

mike: and something happens to it.

mike: i have to replace my stuff AND your pod?

Robert: correct

mike: whats it made of?

Robert: steel

mike: 1 sheet of steel?

Robert: with a marine grade plywood interior.

mike: well thats a fantastic offer. dont your have insurance on your pods?

Robert: That's an extra fee but it does not cover acts of "god"

mike: like a hurricane?

Robert: correct

mike: so i have to pay to cover YOUR property?

mike: under unpredicted events?

Robert: correct you are leasing the pod

mike: i may as well buy my own pod, thats made of bulletproof glass and keep my car in it.

mike: start my own business, and compete with pods.

Robert: sure you can try.

Robert: Is there anything else we can help you with?

mike: would you work for my company? type like this to customers? and reassure them that their car will be fine and they wont break?

mike: no thanks.

Robert: Thank you for choosing PODS for your moving and storage needs and have a nice day! Please complete the survey, which will appear when you have closed the chat, at the end of our conversation. This will enable us to provide better service to our customers.

mike: thanks.

Robert: You are very welcome.

mike: so you wouldnt work for my company?

Robert: no sorry I already have a job.

mike: ill doube what they give you. think about it. cars in pods.

Robert: is there anything else PODS related that I can help you with?

mike: no thanks.

Robert: Have a good evening and thank you for using PODS live chat.

mike: damn.. lost another one =(
