oops yea
Where I work, 80% repair damage, compared to the value of the car, will total it. Otherwise, it's worth repairing in the eyes of the insurance company. They will probably use a CCC report to affix a value for your car and compare that number to the repair estimate.
Just because it is wrecked doesn't mean it can't be fixed. My dad owned a body shop and at least 4 of my cars were total losses before he fixed them and they worked great.

they're saying its only 60% of the total and they need 80% to total it. im waiting to hear back from the adjuster now so i can ask him more questions...

problem solved, new car time.
sorry 1 more update...
just talked to the adjuster and i told him i didnt feel like i wanted the car repaired with that much damage. hes having his salvage guy go get an estimate tomorrow. then i can just take that $ and the repair $ to pay off my loan and put a downpayment on something new. ill lose some of the stuff i have on the car but there are no major mods. and to be honest, its not worth the hassle to take off springs and sways for a few dollars. i just want to get this over with and move on.
ya thats what im working on. ill wait and see what they say tomorrow.
